Access our therapy service
Black Minds Matter UK provides up to 10 sessions of fully funded 121 talking therapy for the Black Community, delivered by our amazing cohort of registered associate Black therapists.
We are working hard preparing to open our service again (not too much longer!) but this is the process that you will follow when we are good to go.
When the portal is open you will be able to book via this page a pre assessment with one of our assessors to make sure that this service is the right one for you. You will then be required to complete a full assessment online and access your therapy.
Please note that the criteria for you to access our service is as follows:
You reside in the UK
You are Black African, Black Carribean or Mixed Heritage with one parent being Black African or Black Carribean
You are 18 years old and above
You are below 18 but are willing to work with an adult relative (family therapy)
You are ready and commited to the process
You have access to a quiet and safe space to conduct your therapy - public spaces will not be appropriate
You have a good online connection as the therapy will be online via video call
PLEASE NOTE: We are NOT an emergency crisis service. If you or your loved ones are experiencing an acute mental health crisis or having suicidal thoughts, please dial 999 or 111 option 2 for the appropriate (emergency) service.
Call Samaritans on 116 123, Sane on 0300 304 7000 or text Shout on 85258 for telephone or text support.
